April IDEAS!! 2022

How much I LOVE these nights. It requires us to come up with some fun ideas for not only family, but for general betterment of ALL lives.

So, what did I serve?
Usually some type of fish like our fav: SALMON! Buttery parmesan garlic palmini noodles to accompany. (Tot had cuc’s with ranch since she is sans salad due to her expander. (Lettuce gets stuck!)

Let’s see…what did she have to say…

Always, we think of ways to have fun as a family. They also share food ideas for me.

Tatum is all about contests!

Doug is ALWAYS creative

WE definitely need some more laughter. A JOKE. night! Stand up comedians…yes we can all do this one night. New games? We need these. I write all of these down to make them happen.

And mine…

And….. Tot and my summer. I have some ideas about cooking classes, yoga classes etc.

This summer we will do some service projects as well. Foster care? Food bank?

I LOVE to implement as well as plan. So, stay tuned! Bless you, Hays. You are so full of great ideas. XXOO

Palm Sunday and Holy Week launch

On Saturday, Doug and I awoke to this “good morning!”

That set up the weekend to be quite “love”LY! So of course the next day, I had a little surprise for her.

Doesn’t she look cute? Loved, she is definitely.

Today, Palm Sunday, she’ll be waving the palm branches in the CHAPEL. (this is the older crowd service and the kids are going to bring so much joy!)

She’s pretty excited! I want her to know that she is so loved that she can spill over now and love on others. (LIVE AS LOVED!)

They have more of a traditional service in the chapel. I love going there because this is where Doug and I got married. It’s such a bright and cheery environment.

Jesus our Savior reigns! He is the KING! Humbly riding in on a donkey as they sing, “HOSANNA!”

The congregation loved it!

We headed back to our service in the Sanctuary. Kevin Yule preached today about Jesus being our true Priest (from Hebrews 7).

With Jesus, we now can Draw Near To God, and may we not take this for granted.

Later that day, we celebrated Palm Sunday (and the launch of Holy Week) with these blocks (similar to the Advent Blocks we did at Christmas)

This was the first day. More to come as we head to Resurrection Sunday!

Wax Museum 3rd grade and being Martha Washington

Open House, 3rd grade would present their character via being a WAX figure. They also had to make a panel display. She already wrote her essay! See a previous blog.

She was all dressed up and ready to shine!

Let’s see the WHOLE thing!

You look perfect, Patsy! (That is Martha’s nickname!)

We got there and she was all set up. Let’s take a look at the panels.

She would have a BLACK DOT on her hand, so when you came by, you push the button and she speaks! Here she is in action.

And here is her hubster. George! (played by Hayden)

And the couple at their finest.

So proud of you little TOT! You shined tonight.

She got a perfect score! Great job, TOT! Or should I say Martha!

Singing Sunday! Blessing others through Choir at SBC

She had to be at church at 6:45 am on Sunday morning so she could sing at all three services.

Four Songs. Pastel colors. Big smiles. Ready heart.

I ended up greeting sans Tot on Sunday (she was backstage), and boy did I get question?
Where’s the little one?; Where’s Tatum?; Missing your sidekick?…and on and on it went. I sure love talking to everyone though! So many wonderful new friends we have made just by greeting.

First song, there she is!

I Thank God

Then, Come Thou Fount with Above All Else

So beautiful and how animated she became!

Oh, dear…the next song. THE BLESSING…it always gets me, and it did Tot too!

(and daddy…we both wept)

The AMEN always makes me melt.

I reminded her how many people she’d be blessing; to get her eyes off herself when she felt tired! She heeded and really shined.

The last song:

King of Glory.

I”m so proud of you, Taties!

Later, swimming with Zoe.

What a wonderful day. Hay Happens that night was a celebration of LOVE and cultivating good habits. I love you family!

Happy Birthday Mama!!

We love celebrating, but especially when it’s for our favorite Grandmama!

We invited her over for a special dinner, and Tatum couldn’t wait to see her.

I just think she looks so beautiful. It’s hard to believe she turned 85 today. She looks like she is 65! Her spirit sure is youthful. Tatum says, you betcha!

It was time to get the din din on the table, so I got the salmon all cooked and the parsnip fries all crispy. I wanted to try something new for Mama, so we went for parsnips!

The evening was lovely as we doted on Mama and showered her with little gifts.

Later, it was time for her favorite: chocolate covered ice cream cones!

AND…of course, Tatum serenading her.

Last but not least, Tatum made her a card.

She lights up our lives!

We love you to pieces, Mama. Many many more years to come.

Belated 9-year old annual exam

Dr. Bloomenthal is busy! We had to cancel our Jan. appt for her annual checkup, and her next opening was late March. So we waited….

The day came, and I picked her up early from school.

Weight?

Height?
SHE HAS GROWN!

46.5 inches tall. Wowza!

She was so excited when she saw Tatum. Dr.’s boys are the same age as Tatum so she always enjoys hearing about Tot’s interests. She always comments on how kind and smart Tot is!
ALSO, she is keeping up with her “peers” in height and weight. Proportions are perfect.

The Tot is growing. Disneyland, here we come! We appreciate you, Dr. Rachel Bloomenthal.
