Her fourth tooth became loose at VBS during craft. THEN, she was playing and it came out. There was much rejoicing on my part because I did not want anything to do with pulling it.
Do you like my smile, Mommy?
Yes, precious girl. And now, the tooth fairy must find a treat to put under her pillow.
A start to our wonderful day was at SBC. Tatum got to pose with her Daddy! He’s our Rocket Man!
Now, I know that Tatum has always wanted to be an astronaut, but I figured I’d take the rocket for a test ride first. I must protect her from stray meteors. The truth of what is said on the signs cannot be understated. Daddy really is out of this world in that he is the most caring and intentional man in the world. What I mean is that he pays attention to all the details of our relationship and his relationship with Tatum. He never misses a beat, and if he does, he makes it right IMMEDIATELY. A Rocket Man in that he not only launches but he always lands, finishing what he starts.
So, we met mom in the cafe. They matched of course. Mama, you guys look so cute!
Then guess what? We needed more pics to celebrate the man we love so much. Tatum is now ready for the astronaut role.
We decided to use all the signs.
And can you say, that is enough pics? Not yet!!!
Sure, we look adorable in the pics, but it was 105 degrees and we were ready to literally chop someone’s head a tree and get home after this. Ha!
Ok so back at the ranch, we spent the day doing odds and ends. I spent the day chopping! No, not a tree or any body parts. Veggies. Yes, veggies…for my honey’s dinner.
BUT FIRST!!! GIFTS to celebrate our RM. Cooper wondered if he was going to get any attention.
Of course, little guy. He even posed for our first present.
Well, it was a card for Daddy that Tatum made. Apparently Copper was more interested in the camera than the card. It would have made a great chew toy, so good job, buddy, for staying paws off. Look at that cute card!!!
Now off to more cards. Cooper got Daddy a joke card because Cooper loves to laugh…see him cracking up here?
AND>… Daddy needed some new belts because he’s getting so svelte!! He’s lost a few lb’s since we got married and his pants are falling down. Since we don’t want him walking around naked…….Tatum definitely doesn’t want this to happen.
A picture: The HAY GIRLS LOVE YOU! To the BEST Dad ever.
One more gift, honey. I got both of you …..
Yes, both of you…. Daddy needed one for work (so he doesn’t have to cart his BIG ONE every day. And Tatum needed a creative coloring one). It’s…
A new Bible for you guys. I love you and LOVE the Word. Let’s all grow together in HIM! He is our foundation.
Well, remember those veggies I chopped and chopped. I made a
STIR FRY in the WOK! How fun it was to make! I was soooooo nervous about how it would taste. Let’s dig in. But first: A lesson in chopsticks. This will slow down our meal so we can talk and play Table Topics. Great plan, eh?
What a fun day to celebrate our RM, my honey, the best guy ever.
We love you to the MOON and back and beyond the galaxy.
I had to put her in again; she just loves going! Plus, she got another scholarship. So, this week, the theme was the Disney film, Coco. We never saw it, but the music is wonderful. It’s partly in Spanish, so this would be a great way for her to practice her Espanol.
Here is the program:
She introduced herself with POISE and BIG smiles.
Then, onto the song “Remember Me.”
They each had little guitars and strummed along as they sang.
They ended with “The World is Mi Familia.” What a great time! The leader, Katie, remembered her from when she was 4. They really enjoyed each other and we appreciate all they did for Tatum.
Thanks again, Phoenix Theater! See you for Toy Story in July!
Cooper wakes up early to greet us all. I usually take him out first thing, but sometimes it must be Daddy or Tatum. I needed to sleep in the other day, and Cooper just waited for me. SO cute! I don’t get to really sleep in because he just cries in front of our bedroom door. I think he wants breakfast.Â
Finally he gets to eat and PLAY! Of course, you can find him under Daddy’s leg as he irons his shirt.
Cooper loves to play with all of his toys. Just today, he got a new hedgehog. It’s pretty much a constant flood of toys.
He also follows all of us wherever we go. The other day, he came into the office with me and did not want to leave. He just sat there…..staring and pseudo-barking. Who is that in the mirror!??
You’ll find Cooper playing with us but also playing hide and seek. He will often be found UNDER the table to sleep
or under the stool in the kitchen.
OR under his bed. Yes, I literally mean under… See him?
Oh my. He’s just cozy and warm in there.
Daddy, had to get him out and then he needed a tummy rub.
I am so proud of the little Tatum. She is becoming so responsible! She does her BrainQuest without being asked; she puts her laundry away first time asked; she has a great attitude when practicing piano, and she helps out with Cooper whenever we need her to help. She truly a responsible little girl.
I decided to give her a little herb garden. Stay tuned for our growth on that! It symbolizes her flavorful personality!
I also wanted to give her a purse so she could take ownership of her activities when we are out. She won’t need to rely on me to carry entertainment, plus we never use the “B” word. (boring) Boring people get bored. So I bought her a mixed media pad, some colored pencils for carrying, and a sharpener. She can fill her little pack with other things too.
She’s all ready to go! (Coopy, we’ll miss you!)
Oh, and guess who did make it into her backpack? You guessed it. Baby is not left at home this time. Hooray!
She is even drawing in the car. I love her spirit. I also love that she doesn’t rely on technology to remain engaged.
