Celebrating Tatum and Coopy’s love day

I woke up to this announcement from President Trump.

Essential. I love that he believes that assembling together to worship God is essential.

That started my day out just right! It was also Tatum’s love day (May 23), and the day we got Coopy last year. All around an exciting day.

Tatum and I started with a bit of drawing. She wanted to draw me a pencil to inspire me!

It did.

I got some work done on writing that I always need to finish.

Later that day, we watched church and I gave her some new shoes. Perfect for chillin’ out to watch the sermon. (we are definitely ready to go back to church!)

We then gave Cooper some attention and of course some whipped cream. He didn’t know why, but he didn’t care. We love to spoil him! We love you, Boy.

Tatum, we adore you. The best day was your birth-day but the second best was your love day.

I love making every day special for you.

We are going to have a great summer!!!

Happy as a Seagull with a French Fry on Tot’s 7 1/2 Birthday

My honey gave me this card on our date on Wed. night. We were so happy to be out!

It inspired Tatum and me to draw it on her 1/2 birthday.

Look at Tatum’s rendition (on the iPad Procreate)

Her’s is so fun and delightful.

Mine is more like the card, but it sure was fun to draw!

Later, we had to go finish her testing for Dr. Sandstrom. She had to get 5 vials of blood.

I told her she was a rockstar.

The day progressed and she was in for a few surprises to celebrate 7.5 years on this earth.

She got a “virtual pet” so she had a buddy when we have to go on our errands.

Like Trader Joe’s.

She named her turtle Tom. She changes her pet every few hours. It beeps incessantly for reminders.

Daddy got her this cool rocket for them to do together. That will be a BLAST! heehee

Then I got her a Mad Libs book. Remember these!!? We broke it in.

More will come tomorrow for her Love day. She is sure loved!

The “coming out” DATE with my honey

It was a Wednesday. Tatum had a fun day at home playing and hanging out a bit with Daddy while I got to run some errands.

Tatum had way too much fun!

Now it’s our turn! We go to go out on our first date in like 3 months.

And we did. Thank you, Gabby, for watching Tot. Blessing!!!

Checking her bones: Follow up to Dr. Sandstrom

We are in the process of finding out about Tatum’s height. The Dr. is having her take some tests so we can find out any information about Tatum’s height being a bit under normal. It may be just fine, but we must be safe.

So, today, we had the bone exam. Left hand.

What is that!? It’s a powerful camera which will look inside your hand!
Isn’t God amazing!? He made every piece of her. A hand is such a masterpiece.

More to come!

Postponing my birthday but still feeling loved: Sunflowers, Apple Pencil, and Coopy cuteness

Tatum woke up with the stomach flu, and I have been fighting some virus for a while now. So, I asked my family if we could celebrate on Sunday.

Doug still loved on me too. He had a note for me to wake up to, and he bought me some flowers that keep on giving. My favorite kind! SUNFLOWERS!

I did also wake up to my favorite little finch who sings outside our door. Thank you, God, for my thinking of me!

He also had Daddy see some quail at our McCormick home. Daddy and child. LOVE IT!
It reminded me of Tot and Daddy. Another present to me.

Cooper went to get groomed that day too. Doesn’t he look adorable. The two of them….I can’t even!
Heart bubbles everywhere.

I had bought a new Apple Pencil (1st generation) for Tatum to use for drawing on the iPad. There’s this cool app called ProCreate, and she’s been having so much creative fun with it.
Here are some of her creations.

She has so much fun on it, and she sure is getting good! After she finishes, she texts or emails them to us. She loves to share her work. I got this little treat too:

and a nice little sign with much bubble love.

We played Pictionary and just relaxed that night. I know there’s more to come, but I sure was grateful for just having my family.

Thank you, Mrs. Finnman. Awards and Goodbyes

The first thing we saw when we went to drop off her work and say goodbye was the new chicks! They all hatched that last week.

So fun to meet them in person since we watched them being born virtually.

We received some fun awards as we left, and Mrs. Finnman shared that Tatum had the most A. R points of anyone in the 1st grade. WOW!

We will miss you, Mrs. Finnman. Thank you for all you have done.

1st Place, Bible, and Decisiveness: Goodbye First grade!

It was our last day. So bittersweet! I actually will miss having her home. I’ll never get this back! Man, I can’t even describe how amazing it was. It was only a half day today so we had time to do some other things.

But first…

Let’s talk about the ZOOM yesterday. 169 books! Tatum got a big award today from her teacher. Mrs. Finnman, her first grade teacher, gave out awards today on ZOOM; it was a unique ceremony doing it virtually.

We read our last AR book this morning. I think we’ll continue in the summer with these, however. We’ll see. I dislike reading on the iPad though.

See her flower grow! I’m so proud of her efforts!

First, Tatum along with a couple of others got 100% on every Bible test. Weekly, they had to memorize a verse. (PVCP does this whole school weekly).

Her assignment today for Bible was kind of cool. I allowed her to do this without me. I wanted her to just answer from her heart.

Next, they always grant a character trait to each child. Mrs. Finnman believed Tatum had the gift of decisiveness and gave her the verse James 1:5. Yes, I do believe my sweetie is quite wise for her age and makes her opinions very strongly. I pray she continues to seek wisdom.

We will miss first grade, but we know the summer is around the corner and so is second grade.
We love you Mrs. Finnman!
