Tatum labeled all the rooms. Did you know that my office is the restroom? Hmmm, I hope this is not a subliminal message.

Ok, the rest of the house…set up! She even had noises that she found on YouTube to mimic a school throughout the day. (There is the bell by the clock…the different rooms)

And she got right to work on some writing with Rio helping her.

I just completed a class called ENRICH which was a cohort of about 6 leader, mover/shaker God fearing ladies. It was pivotal for my growth.

The last evening was about leaving a “legacy.” Do we think about this daily as we go about our life interacting with others?

We should ask these questions:

WHO IS IMPACTING YOU?

WHO ARE YOU IMPACTING?

What kind of “legacy” do you want to leave behind? A bunch of money? Accomplishments? Or character traits… Jesus traits

I looked at these questions:

As I look at the legacy I’m leaving I think of first and foremost Tatum. Is she getting from me the things that will last? What am I prioritizing for her growth? Her grades? Her neatness? OR, her walk with Christ? Her imprint that she leaves on others as she interacts with them?

For example, this week, she is volunteering at SBC SPECIAL NEEDS VBS.

The whole week, she’ll be shadowing and looking after 4-year old Sadie with Downs. Tatum’s best friend is Chris (BTW…he’s the one in the hat). She LOVES Special Needs. Her “LEGACY” is being kind and loving to these special friends. That I can be proud of as part of my legacy. Here she is with Carolyn (the leader of SM).

So, I need to be more intentional as I think about the “who’s” in my life…all of them. May I keep this in the forefront.

Psalm 112:1-3

Praise the Lord

Blessed are those who fear the Lord,
    who find great delight in his commands.

Their children will be mighty in the land;
    the generation of the upright will be blessed.
Wealth and riches are in their houses,
    and their righteousness endures forever.

LORD, give me back my health and bring it back stronger than ever! I want to make Hay Happen HAPPEN even stronger and better! We have a great start to carry on our traditions and to make MORE memories. We want to have a KINGDOM impact.

Keeping this SPIRIT of LIGHT alive for future generations.

AMEN.

To join Rio in the Hay home: a COCKATIEL!

She presented to Doug and me on Saturday with passion and vigor on her new iMac PowerPoint presentation.

And so, we agreed that she had to earn it with behavior and her own money. Stay tuned for July. So proud of her persuasive skills!

I asked Tatum to lead us in a HOPE study, and she took over! Man, look at her bullet-pointed handout. *wince*..who taught her that?

We each read some verses….

My Living Hope!

She was so professional on her new iMac. I felt so warm and loved after this. Jesus, you are our LIVING HOPE!

My favorite one in this:

 but they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.

WAITING produces the RENEWAL!! (of strength.) This is my lesson. Amen. Thank you Tatum!

ELEVEN…ahem…ELEVEN!! Years ago it was official! TATUM ISABELLA become a KNIGHT…..now HAY (which we’ll celebrate on July 9th)

Every year, we celebrate this special day, and today, I told her AGAIN the story of the day I went to the courthouse with her in tote.

And then, it happened!

We were all beaming from ear to ear.

So today, I got her a bunch of little goodies to celebrate. The day fell on her graduation from 5th grade. She had this waiting.

iMac! My dear brother recommended this over a laptop to learn good posture and typing. PLUS, we can all use it in the living room. It’s so glorious!

The best year 2024 for school to end and begin. We ended 5th grade SO MUCH better than it began. I love teaching her and watching her learn.

I couldn’t be more grateful for her and being her mommy.

His love has been my saving grace. What would I do without Jesus? His love does conquer all! Maybe it just hasn’t caught up with my health struggles yet, but He is with me through it all.

I woke up to a lovely Happy Birthday song from Tot and joy from my Hubby.

We got ready for church, and Coopy wanted to love on me too!

Coopy got kicked out of this one, and I removed my specs.

Church was wonderful, but more importantly, I was just glad I wasn’t symptomatic today!
God was GOOD!!!
Mom couldn’t come over, however, as we are putting things off until we all heal. It’s been a struggle, but we are powering through.

Later, Tot sang THREE songs to me! She sang about a woman named Stephanie Knight adopted a baby at birth and it changed BOTH of their lives. I WEEPED.

Then she did a rap with herself on the iPad and danced for me!

I was OVERWHELMED and so happy!
Then she spoiled me with some gifts as well as little Coopy.

My sweet honey gave me the BEST card and pillow! I also get to purchase a “big ticket” item when I’m ready. He’s so good to me.

The pillow says it all. I AM BLESSED BEYOND BELIEF.

She’s been keeping track of her reading as I said I’d pay her $5 for every 100 minutes she reads.
SHE REALLY WANTS CALICO CRITTERS!!!

She did her math…

And realized she was short for the Critter set she wanted.

Daddy, can I pull weeds for an hour for $10?

I love her work ethic. It worked, and she bought her Critter set.
